If you’re new to Red Dead Redemption 2 multiplayer but find the official server intimidating, RedM can provide a more tailored and personal experience. Created by the same developers of FiveM, which enables players to host GTA Online roleplay servers of their own design, RedM provides users with a much more tailored approach for multiplayer gameplay in Red Dead Redemption 2.
RedM is an alternative to FiveM RP that enables players to create customized roleplay or deathmatch servers. While its usage may initially seem intimidating to newcomers, helpful guides exist online which will assist them with getting up and running quickly.
One of the great aspects of RedM mod is its free access and lack of requirements such as an Xbox or PlayStation Live account, making it perfect if you want something different from RDO official server or simply need something to break up a long session of playing RDO official. You can hop onto any RedM server whenever necessary!
There are countless RedM communities and servers out there, making sure you can find something suitable to your preferences easy. Join a roleplaying community where you play as part of a fictional gang in the Wild West; or if crime and mayhem is more your style, sign up for one of the many heist-based RedM servers available.
If you’re new to RedM, the RedM website provides an in-depth guide that can walk you through how to install and use the tool. While you can install RedM with command-line tools alone, Vagrant and Virtualbox provide a faster installation method – simply follow this guide for quick setup! Be sure to install CWLtool and CC-FAICE under different virtual environments (venvs) so as to avoid conflicts when setting up RedM.
RedM’s creator has indicated they are still searching for an answer to Rockstar’s ownership checks that have blocked use of their mod. While this may be disappointing for new players, it’s heartening that a developer is working towards finding a resolution soon so people can enjoy roleplaying within Red Dead Universe again.
