Fans of Salman Khan may be disappointed with this film; its action sequences are loud and nonsensical, there are numerous songs included as well as sentimental dialogue such as Vande Mataram that appear throughout.
Salman Khan
After Wanted and Dabangg, Salman Khan seemed comfortable portraying larger-than-life heroes; however, in this film he doesn’t appear in the mood to play one. Instead he wears a weird-looking wig throughout most of the movie that makes him seem bored.
Salman Khan falls flat in this dated family drama that’s a remake of Tamil film Veeram, making futile attempts at conveying emotion but ultimately failing miserably.
And his misery is compounded by the film’s subpar writing and dialogues, featuring offensive racism jokes, shameless Pepsi plugs and endless one-liners that make Salman look juvenile. Even former co-stars Bhumika Chawla and Jassie Gill have failed to impress as actors; Billi Billi and Yentamma songs cannot make up for such poor films.
Pooja Hegde
Pooja Hegde returns to Hindi film acting after winning second runner-up in 2010 Miss India pageant, having already appeared in several Tamil and Telugu movies such as Mugamoodi, Oka Laila Kosam and Duvvada Jagannadham.
She does a commendable job, yet can’t escape from being tied down by an inadequate script. Jassie Gill, Siddharth Nigam and Raghav Juyal don’t contribute much either.
Hegde and Salman’s romance is cold and attempts to be dramatic but ultimately comes off as silly. His inability to emote shines through as he attempts to impress her; nonetheless, Hegde finds her scenes more pleasant than expected as she even teaches him dance moves!

Rakul Preet Singh co-starred alongside him.
Bhumika Chawla
After two decades, Bhumika Chawla and Salman Khan reunite in Kisi Ka Bhai Ki Jaan. Chawla talks openly about working together again as well as what her most challenging scene in the film was.
This film started off strong, collecting around Rs 100 crore during its opening week and more than that by Day 15 early estimates. Now however, those same estimates indicate a decline and suggest the film is struggling at the box office.
Bhumika was set to feature in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani but ultimately it didn’t happen as planned. Bhumika noted that over time her decisions changed; thus she no longer wanted the role. Now focused on Telugu and Tamil films she already has multiple films lined up.

Abhimanyu Singh
Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has made a strong start, collecting an estimated Rs 85-86 crore nett in India so far. This could put Kisi Ka Bhai ki Ki Jaan and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar in an open race depending on how both perform over their second week runs.
Salman Khan, Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh Daggubati, Jagapathi Babu, Bhumika Chawla, Vijender Singh Raghav Juyal Shehnaz Gill and Palak Tiwari all play key roles. Also featured is Ram Charan in a special cameo role.

She was seen discussing her movie Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan during the event where Salman Khan was present and told her to “move on”, sparking widespread media and fan interest. This caused an uproar.
Shehnaz’s performance is decent but this film fails in terms of acting talent. Her character was overshadowed by bigger stars in the movie; debutantes Palak Tiwari and Vinali Bhatnagar had very limited roles to play; both did an adequate job but failed to wow audiences at National Multiplexes where this movie played out.
Palak Tiwari

KKBKKJ began on a positive note but is currently struggling at the box office, needing to reach Rs 100 crore by itself in order to stay afloat. Unfortunately, its lack of competition during its initial weekend did not help its cause; however, competition will become fiercer in subsequent weeks; thus making its success dependent on picking up pace during its second week run.
